I need to get this blogging thing rolling. I've been a little overwhelmed with work (remodeling a store and staying open for it is a BITCH) and have been super infatuated with the first videogame I have ever bought myself (Gardening Mama FTW).
So, I've made a list of blogs I hope to get postin' soon:
- Daily Outfit Posts
- Red Lipstick Rant
- Review for Ponds Clarant B "spot lightening" moisturizer
- Review for the Pussycat Dolls Home Workout DVD (Don't judge, I love my home workout videos!)
- Doggie and Kitty Updates (because I love my pets, you all must suffer! MWAHAHAHAH!)
So...At least I have a goal to keep my ONE (very busy, very fabulous) follower somewhat entertained!
Also-- the summer is almost done for me, and in two weeks I'll be back in classes for what is hopefully my last year before graduating with a BA. I've spent the bulk of my money in these past months on purchasing schoolbooks.
The thing with being an English major is that you never have to buy books that are, say, as expensive as those needed by science majors or math majors, but you have to buy A LOT of them. One class requires ELEVEN books of poetry. *sigh*
List the Second- School Goodies!
Anywho, the rest of my school "needs" are mostly taken care of--there are just a handful of things I want/need to get. Like:
- A cute pencil case! I have an old-fashioned messenger school bag that I carry about classes with me, and there aren't any pockets with which to keep my pens and pencils and leads and whatnot. By the end of the semester, it's a trial to just pull a pen out from under all my books and papers. So, I want a pencil case. I am a sucker for cute school supplies (see aforementioned pens, pencils, and leads) and as such feel it would be appropriate for me to have a cute pencil case!
- A car sun-shade! It gets VERY hot in my school parking lot, if you're not lucky enough to get a sweet parking spot underneath a tree! Seeing as my school day lasts from 11am- 6pm (although I am going to have to get there at 8 am if I'm to get any parking!) I will be needing one of these bad-boys. I would like it to be Hello Kitty, because I have HK decals on my car as well as an HK steering-wheel cover. (Yeah, I'm one of THOSE girls! And a proud one!)
- A parasol-- I've noticed, when the weather gets warm, that there are a handful of very stylish older ladies on campus who carry about colorful parasols. I've always wanted one, but have always been afraid of drawing TOO much attention to myself. But these gals are older, of varying sizes, and are NOT afraid--there's no reason why I should be, either!
List the Third: Goals
- Get back into shape. This was SUPPOSED to be the summer of being fit and healthy. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand...I've gained ten pounds. The last two weeks I've been exercising more frequently (upped from maybe two days a week to four, I hope to get back to where I am working out six days a week again) but I have had problems NOT eating junk. My (slim, muscular, pretty) mother keeps buying sweets, because she loves them. But she does not eat them. She tells ME to eat them. And, until a few days ago, I did.
- Be more positive. Last semester I hung out with people who talked AMAZING amounts of shit. I didn't like it, I felt bad about it and it didn't make my insecurities go away any. So, no more of that.
- Be more adventurous. I've gotten into a terrible rut of work-and-gym clothes only. I miss being fashionable. I miss getting dressed up for no other reason than to be dressed up. So, back into that.
